One Fish

I am one of the ones,
in one school of the
one hundred and ones.
The stories there are
are merely one of the
one thousand and ones,
from cultures not so different
from the previous
one million and ones.
I dreamed of traversing grounds
and gazing stars of the
one billion and ones,
I realized One Infinite Loop
designs just like the other
one trillion and ones.
My conspiracies
coincide with those
one trillion and ones,
And my obsession with parallelism
parallels that of the
one billion and ones.
My passion for
grooves in five,
circles in fifth,
film in one thirty-five
essays under five hundred words,
cards in fifty-two,
lenses at fifty millimeter,
too,
Was passed on from the
one million and ones,
And I wanted a build
the same way
I sought to film
another one of those
one thousand and ones.
In one school of the
one hundred and ones,
I bubble and swim -
I think, speak, love, desire, live...
like one of the ones.
Here I am,
just one of the many ones.
But today, I will swim
like a fish in water;
I will think
like all my thoughts are unique,
I will speak
like I am the only fish in the pond;
I will love
like there is no other fish in the sea;
and I will desire,
like my heart is the one thing I trust.
Today, I will live
like I am the one,
just to make sure
once is enough.
